Crowns, dentures, and fixed restorations
Prosthetic dentistry means restoring damaged or missing teeth so they both look good and function properly. Whether it’s a crown for a weakened tooth, a post to support a restoration, a denture to replace multiple teeth, or a gingivectomy to improve gum aesthetics – all these treatments bring back your smile and comfort.
At New Dental, prosthetic restorations are made from modern, biocompatible materials, offering a natural look and lasting strength.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns cover the tooth to protect it and restore its shape and appearance.
They are recommended when a tooth is too damaged to be restored with a simple filling.
Types of crowns:
• Metal-ceramic dental crowns – durable, with a natural look
• All-ceramic dental crowns (EMAX, zirconia) – highly aesthetic, especially recommended for the front teeth
• Temporary dental crowns – used until the final restoration is completed
Dental Post (Pivot)
A dental post is a small support placed inside the root of a tooth that is too damaged to hold a restoration on its own. Essentially, the dental post acts as an “anchor,” strengthening the tooth and allowing a crown to be fixed on top.
Depending on the case, we use fiber-glass, metal or zirconia posts.
This way, even a severely damaged tooth can be saved, restored, and made fully functional and aesthetic again.
Dentures
Dentures are removable or fixed prosthetic restorations that replace multiple missing teeth or even a full arch. They restore not only your smile but also chewing, speech, and facial structure.
Types of dentures available:
• Acrylic dentures – the classic, more affordable option
• Cast partial dentures with special attachments – more stable and comfortable
• Implant-supported dentures – the most modern solution, with superior stability and aesthetics
Gingivectomy
Gingivectomy is a procedure that corrects the shape of the gums, either for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes. Using laser technology, the procedure is minimally invasive, quick, and allows for much easier healing compared to traditional methods.
It is recommended in cases such as:
Aesthetic gum contouring (for a “gummy smile”)
Excess gum tissue covering the teeth
Treatment of periodontal disease, by removing periodontal pockets
The result is a more harmonious smile and healthier gums, without discomfort and without long recovery times.
