What is periodontal disease?
It is a bacterial condition that evolves, untreated, from gingivitis to periodontitis (periodontitis).
What is gingivitis?
It is the simplest form of periodontal disease usually caused by the presence of tartar. It is manifested by red, inflamed gums, and by provoked or spontaneous bleeding. Bleeding often occurs when brushing your teeth.
